Give Me Love Give Me Peace on Earth with the show Come Together Right Now in 2005

Mike Wilbury

Mike worked with English friends and colleagues on their nursery rhymes project. Ultimately there were four double CDs released. They might be found on ebay and elsewhere.

Unless you are from Europe, and more specifically Germany, you might not know who Mike Wilbury is. Unless, of course, you know who Sina Doering is. Mike Wilbury is actually Michael Doering, Sina's dad. And a songwriter, musician and mixologist/producer. His younger daughter, Milena, plays a little music (cowbell, drums) but Sina is the one who stands out. Mike and Sina have put their passion for music into helping other musicians and singers.

Sina may have gotten her start when was nine, taking part in a unique project her father was working on involving nursery rhymes. But another project preceded that one. A children's musical Mike wrote to help German children with English through the power of music. Mike's English friends & colleagues Ian Watts and Rick Benbow as native English speakers got involved. Ian also played bass and drums on some songs. Rick Benbow helped with lead vocals and keyboard. Sina was the cover girl and she also appeared in the promotion video!

The musical led to Mike being invited to participate in a musical nursery rhymes project by Ian Watts. On the initial project Gary Holmes and Ian Cunningham played drums. More than 50 songs were created on that weekend, live with guitar, bass and drums, coming up with spontaneous arrangements. Rick Benbow was booked in the studio for another weekend and he added Orchestral arrangements to all songs that needed an Orchestra. Ian Watts did some vocals, but most vocal parts were done by Rebecca Leivers. Mike spent several weeks mixing the material. After six months of intense work, the result was officially launched in spring 2009: The Nursery Rhyme Collection. It went on to be a success and led to 4 double CD albums. Today you can stream all songs for free on the Official Nursery Rhyme Collection website.

This inspired Sina to later create her own Nursery Rhymes project in order to introduce children to music with real musicians and not backing tracks.

Mike Wilbury (aka Michael Doering) played guitar with several Beatles tribute bands in Germany, UK and across Europe.

On Sina's website Mike is quoted as saying, “Looking back on it, I started producing children’s music basically for Sina and Milena, just because there wasn’t any out there that wasn’t plain crap. I’m glad that I did. Sina learned to appreciate musical instruments, Milena absolutely adored those songs.”

Now Mike says he is happy to work behind the scenes helping Sina with her collaborations, her musical needs and even writing songs.

Mike also toured with a tribute band called The Silver Beatles performing across Germany with Ian Watts, John Silver and Peter Kalff with lights and sound from Sebastian and Lars-Michael Lieber. Between 1999 and 2008 he also toured Germany, England and other European countries with other Beatles productions ("She Loves You", "Beatlemania", "Come Together"). His stage role was "George, the quiet one". He also took care of the video technology for the shows.

Since 2017, he has been working with his daughter Sina behind the scenes at Sina-Drums . With currently 360,000 subscribers and 135 million views, her channel is one of the most internationally successful German YouTube music channels. He recently launched another YouTube project with Sina called “Chi Might B Real” which is kind of a behind the scenes look at some of Sina's videos.

One of his most recent projects was helping Sina and Helen Stewart with a video/song “Moon Child”...
