Charlotte Summers, a singer and dancer from Spain, made her first stage appearance with a dance act in Les Misérables, at the age of eight. A year later, she competed in the talent show series La Voz. At the age of ten, she was the runner up in the second season of Fenómeno Fan, and the winner of the Big Talent Competition.

I first saw her sing ABBA’s "Dancing Queen" on a Spanish TV show. Then I found out she was only 13 with that powerful voice. She not only belted out the song, she showed a lot of enthusiasm and confidence as she danced her way around the stage.

America's Got Talent (AGT)

In the first round, she received a standing ovation from the audience and all 4 judges for her rendition of Screamin' Jay Hawkins' "I Put a Spell on You". For the judge cuts Charlotte performed her own rendition of "You Don't Own Me" recorded by Lesley Gore in 1963 and she advanced to the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals she performed Shirley Bassey's "Diamonds Are Forever" from the James Bond film of the same name.

During the judge’s cut episode Simon Cowell said, “We asked all these earlier acts why they’re so nervous. Now I understand because they’ve heard you and, it’s like, I might as well give up now,” he quipped. “There’s a real rawness to you, which I love. This is great. I’m really happy.” Then he and Gabrielle Union didn’t vote for her in the quarterfinals forcing her into a tiebreaker which she lost to a choir.
