Jake Blocker

Jake Blocker has been playing guitar since he was 8, when his grandfather introduced him to guitar. He writes songs and sings as well.

Jake's original song You Could've Had Me When I Cared won a Josie Music Award for Best Traditional Country Song of the Year in 2023.

In advance of his new original song scheduled for release April 26, I thought I'd put together a profile of country musician Jake Blocker. The new song and official video, “If I Knew Why She is Gone,” features Clarksville Creative Sound artist, Jadyn Rylee, as a back up singer. She was in Nashville while Jake was recording this song so it was a blessing.

Jake's music influences include Hank Williams Sr, Moe Bandy, Buck Owens, George Jones, Patsy Cline and Dale Watson. He hails more from Stockdale, Texas and is a traditional country music singer / songwriter.
